Join us for the Chinese for Affirmative Action 57th Anniversary Celebration of Justice gala, on Thursday, June 4, 2025 at Yank Sing Rincon Atrium in San Francisco.
The Celebration of Justice brings together community leaders, advocates, and champions of equity. It’s a night to honor our collective wins, face the challenges ahead, and recommit to building a more just and inclusive society.
As CAA’s largest annual fundraiser, this event provides vital resources to support our neighbors, safeguard our hard-won civil rights, and strengthen the foundations for a thriving multi-racial democracy.
Honorees

Allan E. Low
For his decades of strategic leadership in the legal space that advances racial justice in San Francisco’s Chinatown and beyond. The “pro bono hero of San Francisco Chinatown” (SF Examiner), Allan has provided vital pro bono counsel to protect immigrant communities, expand language access and voting rights, and strengthen multiracial solidarity.

Asian Refugees United
For its community-based advocacy and healing work that supports Vietnamese and Bhutanese refugees in Oakland and Harrisburg. Through culturally grounded support and courageous organizing, ARU has been a vital lifeline amid unjust detention, deportation, and family separation.

Patricia M. Fong
For her decades of work in advancing racial and social justice for AAPI and broader communities of color. Through public service, civic leadership, writing, and philanthropy, Patricia has strengthened Asian American civic participation, expanded AAPI representation in California government, and preserved Chinese American history. Her integrity and leadership exemplify enduring commitment to justice and community empowerment.

Take a stand for justice with CAA! Join us to protect our most vulnerable community members.
Your generosity allows us to fight for immigrant rights, counter high volumes of Chinese-language disinformation on social media, build power to protect everyone in our community, and so much more.

Oppose Draconian Immigration Policies
Help us combat cruel attacks against immigrants. With your support, we can fight to protect birthright citizenship, preserve the constitutional rights of all immigrants, resist unlawful and inhumane mass deportations, and share resources for immigrant communities.

Counter Widespread Chinese-Language Disinformation
With the resurgence of Trumpism and right-wing lies on Chinese-language social media platforms, you can help CAA fight propaganda and disinformation, and build a stronger unified voice in Chinese language digital spaces. Our fact-checking and critical analysis work to counter the spread of disinformation and keep our community safe.

Champion and Build Community Power
As our national politics and federal government are under siege by right-wing ideologues, we are working to fortify networks of local and grassroots power to uphold our democratic principles and support resilience within our communities. This includes advocating for more language access in San Francisco, empowering Chinatown with equitable internet access, and uplifting the stories of courage and liberation that emanate from our community’s history.

Grow our Movement for Diverse Democracy
Our work at CAA includes anchoring and leading emerging initiatives and national partnerships such as Asian Americans for Civil Rights and Equality, Chinatown Media & Arts Collaborative, and Stop AAPI Hate. At CAA, we are leading the way in engaging our community, along with other communities of color, to advance racial and social justice.
